What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is an integrative medicine.

Integrative Medicine (IM) is healing-oriented medicine that takes account of the whole person, including all aspects of lifestyle.

Ayurveda originates in the East.

It classifies all matter, functions and beings by the attributes of the five elements: Space, Wind, Fire, Water, Earth.

The word is of sanskrit origin, ayur = life and veda = scriptures.
